My name's Zach and this is my 500 HP small block. When I first got my Chevelle in 2003 it had a worn out and lightly modified small block 383. I drove it for a few months until it sent a rod through the block! I wasn't too disappointed, because I had bigger and better plans. I purchased a small block 400, had it bored 0.040 over to a 408 and started the assembly. My dad and I built the engine in the garage at home and I've put thousands of miles on it. Here's the buildsheet: Small block 408, 10:1 compression, AFR Eliminator 195/65cc heads, Lunati Voodoo cam, Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap Intake, Holley 750 HP double pumper carb and a MSD ignition system.
